The following are the steps required to work as an LRC Mix Family Aquatic Centre team member:
Steps to Become a Lifeguard
- Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion
Prerequisites: 13 years old or Bronze Star
- Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross
Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion
- Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) or Red Cross Standard First Aid (SFA)
Prerequisites: 13 years old
- National Lifeguard Service (NLS)
Prerequisites: 16 years old, Bronze Cross and current AEC or SFA
Steps to Become an Instructor
- Red Cross Assistant Water Safety Instructor (AWSI)
Prerequisites:15 years old and Swim Kids 10 ability is recommended
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Prerequisites:15 years old and current AWSI
